The Kemp name has been part of the Grand Strand since the early 1950s. Born in 1975 in the heart of Myrtle Beach, Andy Kemp — known by many as “the producedude” — comes from a family deeply rooted in Horry County for over a century and a half. He is the son of Warren and Glenda Kemp and proudly carries forward a legacy of hard work and community commitment.

After graduating high school in Conway, Andy pursued his passion for food and hospitality, earning a degree in Culinary Arts from Horry-Georgetown Technical College. Following a brief stint with a major broadline distributor, Andy and his family opened A&A Produce Company in 2002. Under his leadership, the company became a trusted partner to countless local restaurants and businesses. After recently selling A&A Produce to Keany Produce, Andy remains actively involved as Director of Sales.

As President of SCNeedsHelp, Andy brings that same dedication to serving the local community. Born out of the devastation of Hurricane Matthew, SCNeedsHelp was built on a simple belief: locals helping locals. Andy leads with action, heart, and a deep sense of responsibility to give back to the community that raised him.

Married to his wife, Emily, and a proud father of three, Andy spends his free time camping, cheering on the South Carolina Gamecocks, and enjoying time on the water with friends and family.
